The research group Prejudice, Vulnerability and Psychosocial Processes belongs to the Post Graduation Program in Psychology of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The group emphasizes studies about psychology of prejudice, mainly with social cognition and minority stress models, and its relations with psychosocial processes such as education and health. Furthermore, the PVPP Group aims to study how discrimination affects health and illness process, especially those related to mental health and STIs.

The research and intervention subjects are: studies about vulnerable populations regarding markers such as gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, migratory status, social class, among others; prejudice and discrimination assessment, instruments of research; systematic reviews; epidemiological and historical studies; and the use of experimental techniques in social psychology and health, with the use of vignettes
